I have a desktop running XP home and it has a printer attached to it. I have it set up to do file sharing with my Vista Premium laptop and that works just fine. So how would i go about getting my laptop to print to the printer via network?Network printing problems?
You may have some issues doing that. The printer must have Vista drivers loaded onto the Vista machine and then have the printer port pointed at the shared printer on the XP machine.
A lot depends on the printer, the printer drivers, if the printer has Vista drivers available and if the drivers will work over the network.

You need to have the printer driver set up on both machines and the printer set to share. Set up is the same as sharing file, but is done on the printer. You will now be able to printer wirelessly, but the computer attached to the printer will need to be switched on. Hope this helps
