How do I set up a home network with Vista, Xp, and 2 xboxes?

Ok so I have 2 laptops, one Xp and one vista, a desktop that is Xp and 2 xboxes, how do I set them all up on a home network where I can see them all when I click my little network icon? Like right now they are all connected to the internet but I can't see them from my computer.

My 2 laptops are wireless, and the computer and xboxes are connected thru Ethernet cables to my router/modem thing. And its a 2wire AT%26amp;T router.

I would like to have 1 network where I can see all the devices connected and access shared folders from any device. I have done it before but I just don't remember how lol. If some one could help me I would be really grateful!! Sorry if this is a silly question- sometimes you just need some things spelled out you know? How do I set up a home network with Vista, Xp, and 2 xboxes?
Make sure the ';workgroup name'; in each computer is the same for starters.

The 2nd common problem is that the firewall on the machine you are trying to connect to is turned on, and not set to allow file and printer sharing.
