How to set up a home network with vista and xp?

I recently just bought a new windows vista running laptop.


Well i used to be able to print on a home network with no problem,


and now it says im suppose to install additional drivers ( xp drivers ).


How to i do that? Is there an easier way?

is the printer standalone or running though a computer? if standalone install the drivers if running though another computer, you'd be better sharing from vista and then under the sharing tab look for additional drivers and add the xp stuff - lot of messing around consider looking for a network printer sharing box something like jet direct
