I just reformatted my computer with Windows Vista Home Premium. My desktop has a networking adapter with a small antenna sticking out. It worked just fine before the reformatting with my wireless router but now after a complete reinstall of Vista it can't detect any networks. I don't have the drivers or an install disc and I don't know what brand my networking card is. What can I do to make my computer's antenna work? How do I set up wireless internet on a reformatted computer?
open the case of your computer and see what brand name and type is the wireless adapter. get to a computer with internet and download drivers on a usb key. plug the usb key into your computer and install driver. good luck. How do I set up wireless internet on a reformatted computer?
I can't walk you into how to set it up because I don't know what you have set on your router. This is a great reason to go with powerline instead of wireless. You would not have this problem after doing a format and restore. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o9KWdOLgy鈥?/a>
Now I use a hybrid. I have a laptop that came with wireless. I use WPA2, MAC filtering, and disable my SSID broadcast. I also have a desktop in another room which came with nothing, so I bought powerline. The powerline works great. It really is that easy as the video says.
windows update
