I have a laptop with Windows Vista Business. I use a broadband connection at home and a wifi connection when I'm in a hotel. Last week however I needed to set up a dial up connection and ever since doing so, the ';choose a dial up network connection'; dialog appears whenever I am using broadband and a site takes a long time to respond. None of the dial up connections are set as a default and I had one connection set up previously for use with a mobile phone. Why has this dialog started appearing now and how do I stop it from appearing? There doesn't seem to be a way of disabling the connections and I don't really want to delete them as I need the settings occassionally. Any ideas? How do I stop the network connections dialog popping up in Vista?
In internet explorer tool go to connections and set dial when a network is not available. How do I stop the network connections dialog popping up in Vista?
Colinc has it backwards. The proper answer is,
Control Panel -%26gt; Internet Options (Internet Properties dialog) -%26gt; Connections tab -%26gt; Never dial a connection
