I'd like to know about steps of set up and use for compute-to-computer wireless network ( Ad hoc ) in vista

I recently got a laptop with windows vista home premium but I dont know how to set up local wirelessnetwork. I did some thing and my firend's could connect but I don't see them in my list. any special settig or configuration required??I'd like to know about steps of set up and use for compute-to-computer wireless network ( Ad hoc ) in vista

Just remember 3 things about a ad-hoc network.


1. The range of the connection will only be good for about 10 to 30 feet.


2. The maximum connection speed, no matter what wireless adapters you use, will only be 11Mb/s.


3. It is highly unstable and a dropped connection when transfering files, especially large files, is very common.
